Meet the Team

Lisa - Physiotherapist
Lisa has over 20 years of working as a physiotherapist in Hamilton. She has qualifications in the areas of hand therapy, acupuncture, manipulation and post operative rehabilitation of all areas. Lisa's main areas of interest are the shoulder and hand and she loves helping people recover from injuries. Lisa enjoys working with her qualified and enthusiastic team of physiotherapists.

Alice - Physiotherapist
Alice has been a physiotherapist for over 20 years and has qualifications in hand therapy and acupuncture. Alice has a special interest in upper limb rehabilitation specifically focusing on shoulder rehabilitation pre and post-operatively. As a qualified hand therapist Alice has advanced skills in diagnosing and treating hand injuries. Alice regularly incorporates acupuncture and Pilates into her treatment.

Kim - Physiotherapist
Kim is part of our Vocational Rehabilitation team. She specialises in injury prevention, working in a multi-disciplinary team environment to rehabilitate a client’s injury ensuring a safe return to work and pain management. She also has extensive experience with treating athletes at club, regional and national level. Kim has previously worked with the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic Netball Team.

Haylee - Physiotherapist
Haylee has been practising physiotherapy since 2009 and has a special interest in finger and thumb injuries and post-operative rehabilitation and anything to do with the upper limb. Haylee enjoys playing soccer and is keen on treating sports injuries. She has worked with the Hamilton Wanderers Premier men's soccer team, Waikato FC & the Waikato Pistons basketball team in the past.

Ronen - Physiotherapist
Ronen graduated from University of Otago. He comes with experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and outpatient rehabilitation. Ronen has a special interest in the treatment/management of sports injuries. He has worked with the Napier Old Boys Marist Premier Rugby Club 2015-2016 and Hawkes Bay United Football Team 2016.

Hannah - Physiotherapist
Hannah has been practising as a physiotherapist since 2012 and enjoys helping patients achieve their goals. She has a Certificate in Orthopaedic and Manual Therapy and is currently completing a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation. Education and self-management form a large part of her treatments which is typically supplemented with massage, joint mobilisation and exercises.

Alysha - Physiotherapist
With nearly 20 years work experience, Alysha also has a post grad qual in rehabilitation, sports manual therapy and acupuncture. Special interests include evidence based therapeutic exercise for injury prevention and rehabilitation, including gradual onset, traumatic and post- operative cases. Alysha is passionate about helping people with running related injuries, people with neck pain and headaches, including post-concussion.

Dennis - Retired
Dennis started Anglesea Physiotherapy Clinic and stayed for 30 years. He worked as team physiotherapist with the Waikato Rugby Team, the Chiefs, the All Blacks and the NZ Black Sox Softball team. He was a Clinical Educator for the Auckland School of Physiotherapy for 24 years and a provider for the NZ Academy of Sport. Special interests are sports injuries, particularly lower limb, hip, back and neck pain.

Susan - Physiotherapist
Susan has been working for Lisa Hansen since 2007 after her return from the Middle East. Susan graduated in Physiotherapy at Otago University in 1996. She then worked at the Waikato Hospital where she developed an interest in burns and plastics including Hand Therapy. She has completed her Masters in Rehabilitation (Hands).

Michelle - Physiotherapist
Michelle has been practising physiotherapy for 15 years. Her areas of interest are the treatment and rehabilitation of the hand and upper limb. Michelle regularly incorporates acupuncture into her treatment of various musculoskeletal disorders and also for pain management.

Kelly - Physiotherapist
Kelly graduated from AUT and has been practising physiotherapy since 2009. She has completed a post-grad certificate in Health Science and is a registered hand therapist. She started her career at Waikato Hospital and after an OE in Australia and Canada returned to NZ and been with us since 2014. Kelly has a particular interest in treating the upper limb and enjoys engaging with patients throughout their treatment.

Bridgette - Physiotherapist
Bridgette graduated from AUT in 2015 and also has a certificate in Orthopaedic and Manual Therapy. She is currently working to complete her PgCert in western acupuncture. She is passionate about sport and musculoskeletal physiotherapy and comes from a competitive athletic background, competing at a national level in swimming and representing Waikato age group teams in rugby, soccer and basketball.

Linda - Physiotherapist
Linda has been practicing as a physiotherapist since 2008 when she graduated from Trinity College Dublin. She has a Masters degree in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy from King's College London. Linda's current areas of practice include vocational rehabilitation and leading pain management programmes

Graham - Physiotherapist
Graham has worked as a physiotherapist for 19 years in both hospital and private practice settings. He trained in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has lived in New Zealand for 16 years and whilst here has gained his Post Grad Dip at AUT in Auckland.

Robert - Physiotherapist
Robert graduated in 2011. He has worked at QE Health, working with patients with chronic pain, arthritis and rheumatic diseases. He also worked at in an inpatient setting at Rotorua Hospital and Waikato Hospital. Robert has a special interest in hand therapy, shoulder rehabilitation, post operative rehabilitation, and is currently a Hand Associate completing his post grad study in Rehabilitation.

Kyle - Physiotherapist
Kyle began practising physiotherapy in 2006 and has a strong interest in rehabilitation of back and lower limb injuries. Kyle regularly incorporates Pilates and acupuncture into his treatment. He is currently pursuing a post-graduate qualification in the area of manipulative therapy. Prior to being a physiotherapist Kyle enjoyed the challenges and variability of being in the NZ army and a peacekeeper for UNICEF.

Chloe - Occupational Therapist
Chloe has 4 years experience working as an OT in private practice. Chloe has a special interest in concussion and traumatic brain injury. Chloe is patient focused and strives to make the ACC experience as smooth as possible, whilst working with her patients to return to there normal activities.

Abhi - Physiotherapist
Abhi is a senior physiotherapist gaining his Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Post Grad Diploma in Sport & Exercise Medicine from The University of Otago. He has worked in NZ, Australia and London. His interests are spinal conditions especially disc related injuries. At present he works part time at the Waikato Hospital as a senior musculoskeletal physio and also works for us doing a combination of vocational rehab and clinic work.

Mana - Occupational Therapist
Mana trained as an Occupational Therapist in Otago where she graduated in 1991. Although she lives in Hamilton her whānau originally come from the East Coast, Gisborne region. Mana has experience working in Adult Mental Health Services, Neurology (Strokes and Traumatic Brain Injury), Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Pain Management. She has worked both in Aotearoa and the United Kingdom. Mana has a particular interest in Māori and Pasifika Health.

Jess - Physiotherapist
Jess has a Bachelor of health science - physiotherapy from AUT in 2015. Jess has worked in hospitals in New Zealand and Australia, and volunteered for Mercy Ships in West Africa. Jess is passionate about helping people achieve their goals, and helping improve everyday function.

Liane - Occupational Therapist
Liane is an Occupational Therapist with over 7 years experience in the Vocational setting. Experience with Return to Work Programs, Worksite Assessments, Concussion Service and Training for Independence Services and has a proven track record with supporting NZ Police and NZ Corrections with rehabilitation and RTW programs. Liane’s passion is helping people achieve their goals and regain independence following injury.

Zhen - Physiotherapist
Zhen graduated from AUT in 2012. He started his physio career in Waikato hospital where after 4.5 years working across all areas he became a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. Zhen is interested in sport injury, post operative rehab, particularly in back and shoulder. He worked as a sideline physio for local soccer club and high school rugby team for couple of years. Zhen completed postgraduate Cert. in Acupuncture from AUT in 2015. He practices traditional and western acupuncture, and dry needling.
